The bad news is that it means losing out on native support for controllers, modern display resolutions, Workshop mods, and having to deal with a few more bugs. The good news is that you can still use the old version of the game in windowed mode with that chipset - it's available in Betas as "legacypc". Game starts, I create a character then hit Play and then crashes to desktop.
